What a great deal
We wanted to just replace the drawers and door fronts in our kitchen. After talking to several local suppliers, who never even gave us a finished quote, we went to Lowes and went through the process of measuring everything and they gave us a price from their supplier. I forget what it was but it was pretty high, and we hadn't even included everything so we knew it was going to be much higher and having to deal with the idiots at the store worried me. I believe it would have been closer to $5000 and then we would still have to get them painted. Even though we did order a new Quartz countertop from them which really turned out nice. So even though I didn't expect much, I decided why deal with the idiots, surely we could find somebody on-line. I found Cabinetdoormart.com and liked their web site. I put in the measurements that we had supplied to Lowes and without actually placing the order I could see we would save a lot. So after several months of talking things over, my wife said she would rather try it than live with what we had. Well, we didn't have anything by that time. The old ones had been removed and hauled off. So we measured everything again very carefully and placed a small order. Wow! was I ever surprised. These doors were beautiful. Well made, tough as nails, and even primed and ready for paint. So then she decided she wanted to do all the cabinets in the house. She wanted the bathroom cabinets to be the same design, of course. So then we had three new drawers we needed to add in the kitchen. The drawers are a real bargain. So we did all that, probably twice as much as we originally submitted to Lowes and we spent just under $3000. I painted them. Sanded the primer coat, and added two thin coats of Valspar Cabinet Enamel front and back. Then sanded the front side again and put two fast coats on the front. I painted them in our garage, basically doing five or six doors at a time. I used a Homeright Paint Sprayer, which by the way is perfect. It saved so much time. I wish I had found that sprayer a long time ago, it would have saved us so much time. Anyway, my wife couldn't be happier with the finished product. It looks great and we saved a bunch. Can't say enough nice things about these guys.
